So begin the stories.(note that this section is contained in parts in the LAST TIMES tab)
Being young has wonderful surprises in store and fond memories. But as character Spock has said "Life is like a Garden, Good memories can be had but not preserved, only in memories."
Pretending has had such an influence on Trey from his pretend playmates unconditionally accepting him to having a fleet of classic cars at his disposal as he drove them around the yard and byways. The influence bleeds over in a negative way to preserve Trey's gullibility and it seems the balance between the damage of "Creative trusting" and inspirational injection of dreaming was and always will be part of Trey's mission in life.
None of Trevor's family knows the good side of Spectre. The delusions and hypocrisies of Overlord abound and are enabled by "The Queen".
Upon reminiscing with one of his bankers, Trevor related how Spectre bought him a piano (a baby grand at that!) to continue his practice during his early adolescence. Trevor had started playing the piano around age 8 and took summer lessons from a kindly music teacher in MP across the street from the "2nd ward" , a Church local to the area from which other stories proliferate (see later).
Trevor remembers clearly how much Spectre "wanted things quiet" while he lay in his bed and the children had to tip-toe around, however, since Trevor had a routine of playing one hour of piano that seemed to conflict with Spectre's "rules".
As it came to pass, Spectre found out about Trevor's worries and comforted him that "it was like heaven (or something like that) as he lay in bed listening to the practice sessions.
When even younger, Trey had the distinct memory of Spectre being able to pretend play with him.
From the spotty upbringing of Trey to Trevor, for some reasons part personality part learned to be cautious behavior he seemed to instinctively learn to hide parts his family situation from the outside world.
Trey filled in the gaps by creating pretend playmates "Reedy, Ashitt, and Bucket" . Even Spectre joined in with the pretending which makes sense from the reminder that he had a pretend side (other than his delusions' regarding Mom).
Spectre had something called "a magic lantern" (which Trey had thought was a version of Spectre's heat lamp that his father had frequently used to ease the body pains--even before Spectre resorted to heavy duty medication to resolve the pain).
Distinctive memories of Spectre arriving on Friday evenings to deliver the magic lantern products (crates of raspberries, strawberries, etc. as well as whole watermelons)were a delight to him. In fact he remembers the "ceremony" of greeting Spectre at the lower gate to the South Town farm and waiting with his brothers pitching rocks at the overhead power lines connecting South Town to Bubble City. The rocks made springing, high strung noises as if playing a tune.
